The House Committee on Health Care and the Senate Committee on Health and Welfare are hosting a public hearing on the future of healthcare reform in Vermont on Tuesday, January 12. Members of the Healthcare Reform Commission will also take part in the hearing.
This hearing is designed to take testimony on H.100 and S.88 - Acts Relating To Health Care Financing and Universal Access To Health Care In Vermont and other legislation and/or proposals that further the statutory goal “that all Vermonters receive affordable and appropriate health care at the appropriate time and that health care costs be contained over time.” It will take place in the House Chamber.
Those who wish to speak at the hearing may sign up at 5:30 p.m. The hearing will last between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Because a large crowd is anticipated witnesses must limit their testimony to two minutes. The text of the bills up for discussion are available on the Legislative web site at http://www.leg.state.vt.us/database/status/status.cfm For accessible entrances, see map on Statehouse web site: http://www.leg.state.vt.us/sthouse/locate1.htm
