Vermonters Showing Their True Colors
I am so tired of watching people in national politics bashing each other – in their own parties and members of the other parties – than kissing and making up and essentially saying, “oh, gee, I really didn’t mean it.” Well, if you didn’t mean it you should have never said it. What it comes down to is a win at all costs mentality. The folks on the national stage – from all parties – seem more interested in trashing each other than working for the country.
Historically Vermont, particularly here in the Kingdom, has a proud history of rejecting the type of politics we are seeing on the national stage. This is a fact that I am very proud of. From what I can see from the election year here in Vermont we Vermonters are sticking to this proud tradition of respecting one another in our hopes to gain, or retain, office. This extends all the way down from the governor’s race down to the local races, including in my district. What a difference from what we are seeing on the national stage!
